Want to make flower spacing easier and more consistent? Here's the exact system we use at our farm to plan and plant every bed with confidence. 🌼 We use 1m wide beds and 15cm grid flower netting as our spacing guide. Let me know if you love peonies too! Best time to plant peonies is in the fall (spring works too), and as long as your ground isn’t frozen, you can still plant them. I’m adding in another 400 or so this year, with a heavy emphasis on a favorite of mine: Colonel Owen’s Cousin (first peony in the reel). Standard practice with peonies is to disbud them for 2-3 years after planting before harvesting. This isn’t truly essential, but this practice means that the peony roots really establish in the gro

This involves removing the side buds that form around the main central bud, encouraging the plant to focus its energy on growing a single, long stem with a larger bloom.
