The University of Technology, Jamaica has long played a critical role in building our nation’s STEM capacity. Today, that role is even more important. As we face climate change, rapid technological change, and global uncertainty, we know that our greatest strength is our people, our human capital. This afternoon, we launched and officially opened the IMEK Lab, a space where ideas move from concept to prototype to product, and where academia connects directly with industry to deliver real-world s
